Business Consultant and Public Speaker

My Word is My Bond:

As a former member of the Stock Exchange this statement is at the heart of my philosophy.

I run a consultancy business specialising in economic and political research and analysis and investment strategy for business.

I’m not an academic economist, I draw on my skills, knowledge, financial market qualifications, network of contacts and many years experience researching and analysing economics and politics and implementing economic and investment strategy. This enables me to provide clients with an expert insight on current economic and political developments.

Since leaving the City I’m no longer registered with the FCA so I do not recommend investments but I do study and write on general investment market strategy.

My reports and presentations are clear, logical and easy to read and understand. Employing straight forward common sense I cut through the fog, the noise and the jargon to express my opinions and conclusions honestly.

I'm currently providing economic and political analysis and commentary to Amelia Bishop Consulting in Swindon (see Assignments Tab), and I’m also available to speak on economics, investment markets and politics at events.

My workspace is dominated by two very powerful hi-spec computers with four large screens, which I use to run economic and investment models, Excel spreadsheets of economic, currency, interest rate and share price data and write and edit economic and political reports.

I have Reuters, Bloomberg and Sharescope news ticker feeds running constantly, together with Bloomberg TV and Sky News. All this input keeps me up to date with economic, political and financial market developments from 08:00 to 24:00 hrs.

I'm a member of The Worshipful Company of International Bankers and The City of London Livery Club, The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce and The Maidenhead & District Chamber of Commerce. I’m also an ambassador for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) (See Charities Tab for details).

My Background is in Investment Banking with The Bank of Nova Scotia, Barclays Capital and Nat West Capital Markets, Asset Management with The Syndicate Asset Management Group and Economic Research and Sales with Oxford Economics.

My interests include reading politics, economics, investment markets, history and current affairs.

My credentials are as follows:

I also provide consultancy services for charities specialising in corporate fundraising research and analysis. I’m currently assisting the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) develop new corporate relationships in the financial services sector with Wealth Managers and Financial Advisors.
